Determining Scale

1 -Quick Wins: solution involves adding criteria for the good or service being purchased (ex: certifications), minimal internal process changes.

2 -Long Term Adoption: solution requires some changes to internal processes and/or more capital investment (ex: digital transformation to reduce paper use).

3 – Disruptive Opportunities: requires significant investment and changes to internal processes (ex: retrofitting building)

Étapes du Plan de Projet

Nos modèles par catégorie sont conçus pour décomposer chaque étape du processus d'approvisionnement en six phases, permettant aux utilisateurs de gérer et d'exécuter des projets durables de manière fluide.

Évaluation

• Analyze the projected water demand for your buildings by considering the anticipated usage growth if applicable and create a profile.

• Analyse your water demand cost projection through the assessment.

• Identify businesses in the market for water reuse installation and maintenance in your area.

• Connect with your local municipal government for more information on the unit commercial consumption rate for water and bylaws surrounding decentralized water systems.

• Create a projected list of appliances in the building which will consume water, and if their water requirements are for potable or non-potable water.

• Conduct a cost-benefit analysis to compare the long-term traditional water system with the water recycling system, including maintenance costs and risks.

Identification d'opportunités

Business:
Cost savings on water consumption, as a closed-loop water recycling system will promote brand image.

Sustainability:
Reduce carbon emissions from the end-to-end water treatment (the water supply chain) and hence, reduction in environmental impacts from water extraction from freshwater sources.

Élaboration & exécution de stratégie

• Express intention to incorporate a water reuse program to the company stakeholders and assess their capabilities to perform the projected scope. If third-party expertise is required to execute the project, then proceed to subcontract the section of the scope to collaborate and align on strategy.

• Determine if the RFI should include project execution and maintenance or should be kept separate.

• If the cost-benefit analysis shows a net positive, then consider an outside bid scope of work. Ensure the inclusion of a clear and detailed long term maintenance plan and water quality testing measures into the scope.

Négociation et contrat avec les fournisseurs

• Pay by milestones achieved for the system implementation, offer additional pay for performance tied to the water reuse system's efficiency that will directly translate to energy savings.

• Technical abilities: The subcontractor should have associated certifications and related requirements and conduct background checks to ensure quality work performance. Also, depending on the systems installed or materials utilized, environmental insurance coverage and warranty T&Cs need to be verified as it is of high importance.

• Subcontracting: Ensure clear subcontracting policies and risk mitigation.

• Leverage in negotiations with the use of your company as a trial program to build their sustainability offering portfolio and hence, showcase such cost savings to other clients and widen their potential market.

Performance & gestion des fournisseurs

• Perform routine inspections for construction projects as it progresses on water quality, efficient water recycling and time management benefits gained with respect to the implemented water reuse system.

• Track, monitor and report on a monthly basis the water re-use, water quality, reduced associated carbon emissions, and adherence to municipal water regulations for each project. Discuss findings with contractors on a half-yearly basis to gather insights and identify ways to continuously improve the system.

• Perform annual assessments on the cost savings from the water reuse system and compare against the established target for effective analysis.
